Take the stress away from your big day with our unique at-home workout moves to get your skin wedding ready. Just a few easy moves added into your daily skincare routine can make a big difference to how your skin looks and feels by the time the big day comes round. We’ve put together a hands-only wedding workout to help you get fuller-looking lips, bigger, brighter eyes and seriously sculpted cheekbones - it takes less than 5-minutes to complete but will deliver big results.
We recommend prepping your skin with our lifting Face Coach face oil for a smoother glide as you work through those facial muscles. Simply warm up 3-5 drops in the palms of your hands, apply to your skin, then follow our super straightforward steps below. Let’s get wedding skin ready…
MOVE 1: LIP KNEADING
For a plumper, first kiss-ready pout
Our signature lip kneading move instantly boosts blood flow to your lips to achieve a fuller-looking, luscious pout. To master the technique, all you need to do is pinch your lips together with your index finger and thumb and begin to knead back and forth with medium pressure. This repeated motion will lift through your marionette lines and nasolabial folds, encouraging muscle memory and relieving congested fluid.
MOVE 2: V-LIFTS
For bright eyes that dazzle all day
Working V-eye lifts into your skincare routine will open and lift your eyes the natural way. Begin by placing two fingers on each side of the bridge of your nose, up to the start of your eyebrow. Next, apply a little pressure and lift under the eyebrow — as you do this, be sure to split your fingers into a V-shape with a slow, gliding motion out to the sides, continuing to apply pressure. Repeat for 3 reps.
Once you’ve completed these quick steps, it’s time to move on to the under eyes (make sure you take care to use minimal pressure, so not to drag the skin). Start by resting two fingers at the inner corner of the eye, splitting your fingers into a V-shape again and allowing them to glide out to the sides. Finish with a little lift and pressure at the temples, then repeat for 2 steps
MOVE 3: CHEEK WHIPPING
For skin that glows with happiness
A FaceGym favourite, whipping is a core part of all of our cheek workouts. It’s incredible for toning and tightening your cheek muscles, increasing circulation and bringing oxygen to the skin (the more oxygen to your skin, the glowier you’ll look!)
Get ready to whip by pulling your skin tight at the chin with one hand. Next, use the index and middle fingers on your opposite hand to ‘whip’ around the whole cheek area in an upwards motion, applying medium pressure.
Take it slow and steady to start with so you can settle into a comfortable rhythm, whipping for for 30 seconds on each side and working your way up to 1 minute. Don’t worry if your skin starts to redden — whipping helps to stimulate blood circulation and collagen production, so this is a sign that it’s working!
MOVE 4: CHEEK HOOKS
For super sculpted cheekbones
This quick and easy workout will add definition to your cheekbones instantly. Start by creating a hook with both index fingers. Then, using a medium pressure, tuck the knuckles of your hooks under your cheekbones at the side of your nose, scooping it under and along your cheekbone, out towards your ear. Take your time with this movement, ensuring that the pressure remains firm, but never painful. Repeat for 8 reps on each cheek.
MOVE 5: MULTI-SCULPT
For a perfectly defined jawline
Get the jawline of your dreams with our multi-sculpt technique, made easier with our high performance Multi-Sculpt contouring tool. To start sculpting, place your chin in the grip, holding the multi-sculpt at a 15-degree angle. Then, gently sweep it from chin to ear. Repeat 5-6 sweeps on each side of the face, feeling your muscles toning and all tension releasing.
Once you’ve completed the jawline sweep, take the long edge of the Multi-Sculpt and sweep it down the side of your face, motioning from your forehead to your next. Make sure you’re holding the tool at a 15-degree angle to drain the lymphatic system, and repeat again with 5-6 sweeps.
And there you have it: our beauty insider guide to perfect, pre-wedding skin.
